CEREMONY PLANNING CHECKLIST

LICENSE

You must go to a Borough City Clerk's office TOGETHER, at least 24 hours before the ceremony. The license is good for 60 days.

Know your future address for legal changes and bring Divorce settlement papers, if pertinent
If you are going to change your names, decide this in advance. See below.
If your ID is in another language, you may have to have it translated.

Be sure you have a permit for any outdoor wedding, including Central Park. Popular spots may be full, and you need a permit for a group over 20 people (including officiant and couple).
Have a weather backup or golf umbrellas.
